Douglas Scagliola, dedicated food and beverage professional with a unique combination of service and wine experience recently joined Council Oak Steaks & Seafood as the new assistant manager and resident wine sommelier. Douglas started his career at Emeril’s New Orleans Fish House in Las Vegas, Nevada. He then became Delmonico Restaurant’s Sommelier/Cellar Master. Prior to his employment at Council Oak Steaks & Seafood, Douglas was the General Manager for O’Brady’s & Clarion Inn in Tampa, Florida.
Having backpacked Europe for months at a time, Douglas is able to bring extensive old world experience to guests. He describes Council Oak Steaks & Seafood as a glass of French Pinot Noir due to the restaurant’s elegance and beauty. He believes it has many long lasting and bold flavors.
With over ten years of experience and a passport full of stamps, Douglas is ready to uncork Council Oak and bring service to the next level.
