Seminole Hard Rock Donates Over $80,000 to PINKTOBER® Campaign

For the second straight year, following its annual PINKTOBER® campaign, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa will donate more than $80,000 to help fund research for prevention and a cure for breast cancer.

PINKTOBER® fund-raising initiatives at the property included room, retail and “Pinktini” cocktail sales which totaled $12,148.

Additionally, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa was once again the $50,000 premier sponsor of the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk which was staged at the Amalie Arena last month.

Like past years, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa assembled a large contingent of employees to participate in the walk. The team member count was 250 and the group brought in $18,431 for the cause.

As a result of its fund-raising campaign, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa was recognized by the City of Tampa via a Proclamation issued by Mayor Bob Buckhorn naming October PINKTOBER® month.

This marked the 15th year of Hard Rock International’s support of PINKTOBER® and the seventh year of Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa’s involvement.

Overall, the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk raised $600,000 with 18,000 walkers participating. The event attracted 518 teams.
