October Beneficiary: Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa is partnering up with Making Strides Against Breast Cancer for the entire month of October.

This is the 10th year of Seminole Hard Rock Tampa’s involvement with PINKTOBER and last year the property raised $50,400 to help fund research for prevention and a cure for breast cancer.

A major component of the program will once again be the property’s support of the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk as the $50,000 Pink Premiere Sponsor.

Want to make a difference?  Join us at the Making Strides of Tampa presented by Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa at Amalie Arena on Saturday, October 28, 2017. Like previous years, Seminole Hard Rock Tampa will enter a team for the walk. For details about the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, please visit www.makingstrideswalk.org.

Seminole Hard Rock Tampa team members Kevin Hettinger and Chef Michael Balles will also be participating in the Making Strides Tampa “Real Men Wear Pink.”

Hotel & Resort

Throughout October, the property will be selling limited edition umbrellas in its retail shops for $10 with 100 percent of the proceeds generated going to the American Cancer Society. The retail shops will also be selling special pink pins, men’s ties, scarfs, purses, backpacks, notepads, keychains, blankets, travel mugs, caps and clinch sacks with a portion of the proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.

 Food & Beverage

In celebration of PINKTOBER, Rise Kitchen & Bakery will have pink themed pastries for sale. Additionally, the property bars will offer a “Pinktini” with a portion of those proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.

Entertainment

Open to the public, Seminole Hard Rock Tampa will host a weekly “Women Who Rock” concert series in Hard Rock Cafe every Thursday during October featuring Kayla Ember, Valerie Morales, Eden Shireen and Luvu.

Message of Strength

Over 800 Seminole Hard Rock Tampa team members have opted to donate one percent of their entire pay for the month of October to benefit the American Cancer Society.

We hope to see you out there on October 28th. Take a look at last year’s walk!
