During the entire month of June, the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tampa hosted the Tampa Bay June Acoustic Music Showcase (TBJAMS). At the TBJAMS wrap party, five lucky performers were chosen to be featured as Hard Rock Cafe Tampa Ambassadors . We sat down with one of the selected artists, Sarah Morey, to get to know her a little better.

Where were you born?
I was born and raised in Tampa.

When did you start loving music?
I began taking piano lessons when I was five years old and by the age of seven I had written my first song. When I turned ten I wanted to take on a new instrument so I started taking guitar lessons.

What instruments do you play?
I play the guitar, ukulele, clarinet, bass guitar, mandolin and the harp.

How would describe your style of music?
Pop country.

Who is your favorite artist?
I like Kelsey Ballerini, Marian Morris, Chris Stapleton and the Rolling Stones.

What is your favorite song?
“When the Stars Come Out” by Chris Stapleton.

Have you played on the Hard Rock Cafe Stage before?
Yes, but it was my first time at TBJAMS.

How did you feel when you were chosen to be an ambassador?
I was so excited! My dream is to be a performing artist and I think it’s so amazing that Hard Rock Tampa gives local musicians these types of opportunities.
