In advance of the always popular Gasparilla Pirate Fest weekend, Council Oak Lounge in Seminole Hard Rock Tampa is hosting a Gasparilla-themed, Mount Gay Rum pairing dinner on Thursday, January 28.
The event begins at 6:30 p.m. with a Fountain of Youth/Mount Gay Eclipse Silver-themed cocktail reception, followed by an innovative four-course meal at 7 p.m. featuring the following themes/Mount Gay offerings:
- Black Pearl/Mount Gay Black Barrel
- Council Oaks XO Sidecar/Mount Gay XO
- Mount Gay 1703
- Hot Buttered Rum/Mount Gay Eclipse Gold

Seminole Hard Rock Tampa is in the midst of a three-year run as title sponsor of the Gasparilla Pirate Fest, which is scheduled for January 29-30. The event will feature the Gasparilla Invasion and Parade of the Pirates, presented by Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla, as well as the Gasparilla Pirate Fest Street Festival.
