May Artist Spotlight: Meet Local Band Extra Celestial

Meet Extra Celestial, a pop/alternative band from Tampa Bay. Formed in August of 2015, most of the band members did not know each other prior to forming together. Casey and Annabella had performed together several times, but later in their music career the band was introduced through Jim Chambers Music Box – a music academy based in Tampa/Carrollwood area – forming the group as it is today. The band is currently made up of four members: Casey (lead vocalist), Caitlin (bass), Devyn (lead guitar) and Annabella (drums).

While it’s quite impressive that all of these ladies formed an outstanding band, fans will be even more surprised to learn when they each started mastering their skills. Casey started singing when she was six years old, Caitlin started out playing guitar when she was eleven years old, Devyn started playing piano when she was three years old and last, but certainly not least Annabella started playing the drums when she was 3 years old and had her first lesson at age five at American Gospel in Tampa.

Talk about a talented and dedicated group of female rock stars!

Their first performance as a band was at Red Star Rock Bar in Tampa in September of 2015. The group was excited to perform on a large stage and were grateful for that opportunity. Now, we fast forward to 2016, the ladies will be performing on the Hard Rock Cafe Tampa stage and they couldn’t be more excited and grateful. Their performance will take place during the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa’s benefit for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Northern Florida.

Be sure to stop by the Hard Rock Cafe on April 30 from 7:00pm-8:00pm to see Extra Celestial take the stage!
