Giveaway: Win a pair of tickets to Meet & Greet Drew Cole from The Voice

Are you a fan of NBC’s The Voice? Season 14 has brought in unbelievable talent and among them is Drew Cole, the 25 year old artist from Connecticut whose viral video “Golden Loves Guitar” from six years ago went viral and garnered 14 million views.

Cole learned to play the guitar from his father at the age of 11 and began singing as the front man of his high school rock band back in Connecticut. He found early inspiration in The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and The Black Crowes. His vocal influences span decades of legendary front men, including Gregg Allman, Shannon Hoon, and more recently, John Mayer, James Bay, and Allen Stone. Fast forward many years later and Drew’s passion and hard work landed him to compete on Season 14 of The Voice.  After getting chair turns from Adam Levine and Blake Shelton he picked Team Adam Levine.

During the first knock out round episode of Season 14, Drew Cole and Jackie Verna represented Team Adam Levine. He took on Niall Horan’s “Slow Hands” while Jackie sang  Lady Antebellum’s “American Honey”. After both performances, Adam decided to save Jackie for his team. However, before he was eliminated Adam used his only Save to keep Drew. He then went on to compete in the Live Playoffs where he performed “Wild Horses” by The Rolling Stones. While this performance did not get him to the next round, Drew continues to grow as an artist and will join us on May 9 in the Hard Rock Cafe.

A soulful vocalist with an extensive inventory of musical talents, Drew Cole, was born in Seattle, WA in the seminal days of grunge. He reached the glaring neon glow of Los Angeles via a quiet town in Connecticut. The singer-songwriter’s influences are as varied and eclectic as the states he has lived in.

His love of soul, rock, and pop music shines through in his music. Cole describes every step of his musical journey as giving a piece of himself away, which he admits is both hard work and intimidating, but not without its rewards. “People make and share music for the same reason they procreate,” he says, “It feels good and there’s a piece of you running around this world… when people react to my creations in a positive way, it’s the best gift of all, and it fuels the fire for more creativity and self-growth.
