This month, we’re going in on giving out to our community by supporting the Ronald McDonald House Charities whose mission is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well being of children and their families.
As pioneers of providing family-centered care, RMHC strives to be part of the solution in improving the lives of children and their families, providing programs that strengthen families during difficult times.
Ronald McDonald House Tampa Bay is comprised of four Houses, three in St. Petersburg and one in Tampa, offering 80 bedrooms with private baths. Owned and operated by Ronald McDonald House Charities Tampa Bay, this is a non-profit Florida corporation whose board consists of representatives from our community’s parents, leaders, McDonald’s, medical profession and other interested individuals.
Their 14-bedroom Tampa House opened in 1992 on Davis Islands adjacent to Tampa General Hospital. It serves families from Tampa General, St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital and Shriners Hospital.
Together, their Houses became a “home-away-from-home” and serve 2,000 pediatric families annually. The supportive environment at each of our Houses, offered through dedicated volunteers, staff and other residents, provides comfort and care to those who supply the love, understanding, nurturing and emotional support essential for their child’s recovery from illness or injury.
Through the month of December, we are raising fund for this charity through the sale of these bracelets. 100% of the proceeds from their sale will be donated to the organization. Pick yours up at our retail shops and rock them to show your support.
