We sat down with Player’s Club Manager, Nicolas Diaz-Granados to get insight on how he made the transition from learner to leader and what it takes to achieve professional development and success within the casino industry.

What initially interested you about working at Seminole Hard Rock Tampa?
The name Hard Rock has always been appealing to me. I’ve always wanted to work for a renowned global company. Once I started my position at Seminole Hard Rock Tampa, I experienced the culture and family-like bond that the company has to offer. When the company treated me with the utmost respect and loyalty, I immediately knew that this is where I wanted to kick off my long term career.
Tell us about your journey at Seminole Hard Rock Tampa.
I started in 2014 as a Player’s Club Representative. Over the course of a year in a half, I made the transition from representative to trainer, supervisor, assistant manager and now manager.
What do you attribute your success to?
I would say the main reason that I’m where I am today is because I was able to tap into my niche and find my passion. I believe everybody has their niche, they just need to have the confidence to find it and also operate in that space.
What’s your favorite thing about working for Seminole Hard Rock Tampa?
The people and the culture are my favorite things about working for Seminole Hard Rock Tampa. Our team members and management, even upper management, are extremely engaged. When you work in a positive environment, it’s easy to love what you do and excel in the workplace. One of our work mottos is: FUN.
What advice would you give to someone who is looking to follow in your footsteps?
Strive to be better than you were yesterday. Take advice and make changes for improvement. Always be bought in and engaged.
