2022 Campaign Will Raise Funds for Breast Cancer Research Through Hard Rock Heals Foundation®
TAMPA, Fla. (October 4, 2022) – Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa continues its annual month-long support of PINKTOBER – its breast cancer awareness campaign with this year’s theme “Knockout Cancer.”
Seminole Hard Rock Tampa will once again be the $50,000 Pink Premier Sponsor for this year’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, scheduled for Saturday, October 29, at Raymond James Stadium. “At Seminole Hard Rock Tampa, when October comes around, PINKTOBER takes over. Our team members are deeply invested in supporting the American Cancer Society and look forward to participating in this event to raise awareness for such an important cause every year,” said President Steve Bonner.
More than 500 Seminole Hard Rock Tampa team members have donated one percent of their pay for the month of October to benefit the American Cancer Society. Those same team members will partake in “Think Pink Thursdays” and wear the provided “Rockin’ Walkstars” shirt to work.
Throughout the month of October, Seminole Hard Rock Tampa will be participating in the campaign through fundraising efforts supporting the Hard Rock Heals Foundation®, the charitable arm of Hard Rock®.
Limited-Edition PINKTOBER Merchandise
This year, Hard Rock International will be offering uniquely designed, limited-edition merchandise in support of breast cancer awareness and research, which include a PINKTOBER-themed Hard Rock t-shirt, satchel, water bottle, cap, and a newly designed PINKTOBER pin. Additionally, through the Hard Rock Heals Foundation, a percentage of all proceeds will be going to charities that help raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. PINKTOBER Takes the Stage
The PINKTOBER Poker Open will take place from October 5 to October 17 with a portion of the buy-ins going to the American Cancer Society.
In addition, guests who visit Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa during October have the option to donate the change from redeemed vouchers at any Everi full-service kiosk across the casino floor. All donations made at Everi kiosks throughout the month will benefit the American Cancer Society.
The Flavors of Pink
Seminole Hard Rock Tampa will feature a menu of pink-themed food and beverage items such as PINKTOBER Macaron ($7) at Constant Grind, PINKTOBER Éclair ($4), and PINKTOBER Cheesecake on a Stick ($6) at Rise Kitchen & Deli with a portion of the proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.
A Pinktini ($12) will be offered at casino bars and a Flamingo ($13) will be offered at the Pool Bar & Grill with a portion of those proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.
A PINKTOBER Hotel & Resort
To celebrate the month and the unwavering strength of breast cancer survivors, two Pink co-branded Fender guitars will be used as part of the Sound of Your Stay program. Guests can check out the guitars which will each include a QR code for users to easily make a donation and discover more ways they can support the fight against breast cancer.
Seminole Hard Rock Tampa will feature a special cabana, decked out in pink at the pool with proceeds from rentals benefiting the cause.
In addition, the two hotel towers will be lit in a PINKTOBER theme nightly.
With the theme “Knockout Cancer,” the property will have a boxing ring social media photo op located in the front lobby of the hotel during the month of October.
Vice President and Assistant General Manager, Joe Wagner, is representing Seminole Hard Rock Tampa as a 2022 Real Men Wear Pink Tampa Fundraising Participant. He has already raised over $20,000 and is one of the top fundraisers in the country.
