- Chips
The round chips are essentially casino “dollars” that are designed in different color, which mean they have different monetary values. - Shoe
A devise that holds the deck(s) of card(s) and allows for multiple games to be played by reducing the time between shuffles. - Push
The Player and the Dealer have the same cards, which is essentially a tie and no money is exchanged. - Buy-in
The process of a Player exchanging cash for chips. - Cage
The location of the property cashiers. - Bankroll
The total amount of “money” the Player has for a bet. - Burn Cards
Cards that the casino discards at the beginning of a new shuffle. - Split hand
If the Players first two cards have the same value they are able to split them into two hands by placing a second bet equal to the first. - Double Down
The Player is able to increase the initial bet up to 100% if he/she decides to take no more cards after receiving only one more card. - Hit
The Player is seeking or should seek another card.
